Ode To Old Folks

I thought when I retired,
There'd be nothing left to do.
But I've a little story,
That I'll pass on to you.

The 'Golden Years' have come to pass,
They'll come to one and all.
You can sit and waste away,
Or have yourself a ball.

I found this new, 'Lectronic Toy'
It's become a part of life.
And now I travel everywhere,
Without the fear and strife.

The computer opens up a whole New World,
No boundaries hold me in.
Now I can fly around the world,
And visit all my kin.

I've been to art museums,
I've soared beyond the moon.
There are new things to learn each day,
A fact, a myth, a tune.

Every thing you want to know,
Is at your finger tips.
You type and search and look around,
And go on cyber trips.

You ride this magic carpet,
To places near and far.
You can tour your neighborhood,
Or ride a shooting star.

So let me tell you OLD folks,
There's a whole New World out there.
You can enjoy these wondrous things,
If you get off your rocking chair!
