In the second half of my senior year, my parents decided that we should move closer to Pierce JC, so that I could attend their animal husbandry courses.

I graduated from Van Nuys High School, with school mates that I hardly knew. I missed being a part of the JBHS graduating class.

I never did get to attend Pierce JC. I attended Los Angeles JC for 1 semester, enrolled in the dental assistant courses. I decided that I didn't like the dental profession, so looked for a job in the medical field.

I was offered a job as a medical assistant in a Van Nuys geriatric practice. I also attended medical assistants night school to enhance my knowledge of medical procedure as a nurse .

I married a young man from Hollywood HS , who became a CPA and tax Lawyer.We had 4 children, 3 boys and one girl.

I divorced my first husband, and in 1974, married my present husband Andy Fillis, a 20 yr. retired Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. We have one son between us,who is now 24 yrs. old.

We now live in Portland, Oregon , and have a pet supply business, on the internet, and we do vending at the cat shows. I enjoy collectibles/antique hunting, showing our Collie and our Persian Cats and raising Orchids and working in the garden.
