After graduating from John Burroughs in 1955, I attended Glendale College for two years,
then, took a secretarial job in Glendale. After going with Dick Haskitt for 5 years, we were
married in Burbank in 1958. Our first son, Bruce, was born in Glendale in 1961 and our
second son, Bobb, was born in 1963. I quit work shortly before the birth of our first son to
become a stay-at-home mom.
Dick's job moved us to the Bay Area in 1972. I worked at Saratoga High School while the
boys were in attendance there. After they moved on to college, I became a secretary again
and did temporary jobs. At my last assignment, my boss was going to become president of
Revo Sunglasses and asked me to go with him as his secretary. In a short time, I was given
the responsibility for human resources for the Revo division. Eventually, I ended up as
manager of the Customer Service Department. I retired after my boss left Revo.

My husband, Dick, was employed by Syntex Laboratories for 30 years. We lived in the Bay
Area for 22 years until he retired. After searching for a long time for the place we'd like to
live after retirement, we decided upon Tucson, AZ. We have a lovely home in the active
adult community of SaddleBrooke. We've made lots of friends here and there are always
plenty of activities.
Our older son is Los Angeles District Manager for Pfizer Labs. He and his wife live in
Huntington Beach. Our younger son, his wife and our three grandchildren have just
relocated from the Seattle area to the Boston area. Bobb is vice president of a
communications company called Fast Channel Network.
Dick and I are celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary in February 2003. I have been
very blessed with a wonderful life. If I had it to live it over again, I would hope for much of
the same. God has been very good to me and I count my blessings every day.
