DUANE LORANGER and JAMEY
My Biography

Reflecting on the bios of our class puts a lie to the label "silent generation." As it seemed fifty years ago, the talented potential of our group has been realized and is still being perpetuated. In many cases this is a tribute to loving, dedicated parental guidance. In some, resourcefulness came in spite of difficult home life. The linchpin is our common bond to a superb primary education. I am very thankful to have been raised in this caring, motivated environment.

Shortly after high school I started in the electronics business in the stock room at Collins Radio. I joined the Marine Corps in 1957 on a three year hitch. I have spent the past thirty-five years in electronic parts and equipment sales. I've had local and regional territories throughout Southern California, Central U.S., Western U.S. and Arizona, mostly in distribution, in sales and in management for both domestic and international companies. Currently I call on the States of Arizona and New Mexico for a Test and Measurement Equipment company.

I have two children, Jeff and Shelly of whom I'm very proud and four grandchildren. Jeff, who lives in Mission Viejo has two girls, the oldest is a freshman a UCLA. Shelly has two boys. They live in Valencia.

I've had the pleasure of working with and coaching kids over the years in various programs such as: youth baseball, basketball, YMCA and Match Point Mentoring programs. These activities provided richness to my life.

I moved to Phoenix in 1992. My wife Jamey and I were married in 1993. It is golf heaven over here, but my handicap doesn't reflect it.

Upon graduating from Burroughs, I had many questions about the "meaning of life". Most of them have been answered. I'm very happy to be here!

I'm looking forward to seeing my classmates at our 50th Reunion.
