Hi, Class of 1955!
I really don't know where to start, how do you put 50 years since
graduating into a bio?
I guess I will start with graduating from Burroughs High School and
marrying the love of my life and soul mate, Warren Hess. I was lucky
to get this great guy! He gave me 45 wonderful years of love (before his
death in 2000), three great kids, two wonderful grandchildren, security
in life and many happy, happy memories.
Warren became a Burbank Police officer and I became at stay-at-home
mom with three children, Deborah Lynn, Brian Edward and Spencer
Robert Hess. We lived in Burbank for 30 years, first on Valley Street
and then Cambridge Drive. We had many wonderful years and
memories. Debi went to Burroughs High and swam on the swim team;
Brian went to Burbank High and played the music for the DeMoley
dances; and Spencer was CIF Swim Champion for Burbank High.
We also bought a vacation home for ourselves in Palm Springs. Each
year we tried to go to Palm Springs every chance we got. My children
grew up there as well as Burbank. Again, wonderful memories.
After the kids left home and Warren retired at 51, after 30 years with
the Burbank Police Department, we decided to move to the beach. We
bought a townhouse in Port Hueneme and enjoyed the wonderful
weather and new friends.

Warren and I discovered cruising and went on about 30 cruises and
traveled many places. We had fifteen years of great traveling and fun
after our retirement. I am so happy we retired early, because I have
many more great memories during those years. Warren was 65 when he
died and the years go on, but Warren will never be gone for
his family. Not a day goes by that I don't think of
him and probably always will. He was the best!
I still go cruising and enjoy many trips with family and friends. Debi
has a home in Dayton, Nev., and her son, Christopher (age 24) lives near
her in Carson City, Nev.; Brian lives near me in Oxnard with his son,
Tommy (age 13); and Spencer works for the City of Burbank and has a
home there.
I am starting a new chapter in my life and moving to a new home in an
active community at Sun City Grand in Arizona.
Wish me luck!
