LARRY FARMER

Greetings from Larry Farmer

In 1956, one of my best friends, Harley Herbes, (now deceased) and I joined the US Air Force as a 'buddy team' and went through basic training together. Afterwards, he was sent to Florida and I was assigned to the Pentagon, and we never saw each other until we returned to Burbank after discharge. In 1958, was assigned to RAF Station Wethersfield, England, about 2 hours north of London. That same year, met my future wife, and married in Sept. 1959 - had a daughter in1960 (lives in Seattle). Moved back to Burbank in 1961 and got started in the escrow field. Son born in1967 (lives in San Diego). Divorced in 1972, although we are still good friends. Moved to San Diego, and became County Manager of a local title company. and near the beach in Carlsbad.

Opened my own escrow company in 1980 in Rancho Bernardo and it grew to 11 branch operations and 120 employees. In 1998, was approached by a national company, who bought me out. Retired - sold my large home in Encinitas and bought a home in Rancho Mirage. Over the years, attended many car auctions and accumulated 12 or so classics. Sold all of them when retired except my baby, a 1965 Lincoln Continental. Have traveled most of Europe, and found Ireland the best. Had a angioplasty in 1999 but okay now. I was on the 'missing' list until recently, so if anyone remembers me from high school, drop a line - e-mail is Kingescrow@aol.com. My best to all of you, and see you at the reunion in 2005 if not before. Larry.
