KAREN FAIRFIELD LUCAS and JERRY --Deceased--

Biography
For
Karen Fairfield

As of 7-11-2003, a new biography for me is in order! Jerry Lucas and I were married on that date at the Santa Ana Courthouse. This was just before his first surgery (and maybe he will talk about that on the bio page he needs to update!) Most everyone knows that we were high school sweethearts and even engaged after graduation. That we found each other again after 46 years is one of life's many miracles.

Aside from my divorce last summer, my biography remains the same. I still have two sons- but now I have a new and delightful step- family. I still recollect fondly my several trips abroad, and my years of volunteer work for blockbuster museum exhibits in Texas: Ramses II, Soviet Space and Jurassic Park to name the most important. I am still a member of the American Research Center in Egypt-ARCE- now involved with the Orange County chapter. I am still writing - looking for publishers when I have the time. In this new period of my life, living is more fun than writing! Jerry has been working for the City of Garden Grove as a PCS- parking control specialist. It is a part time retirement job that allows him to write "tickets" ( a writer in his own way).

My youngest son works for Flight Safety International-in charge of the computers at the Dallas headquarters. Jerry's youngest son is serving our country in Korea. We have much for which to be grateful.

Hopefully by next summer we will be in our own home- at a mobile home park as close to the beach as we can get! Meantime, I want to acknowledge my joy at finding all the old- and new- classmates from Burroughs '55. It is a great class!
