JIM BOES and SONDRA
MY LAST 50 YEARS

After graduation, I went to work for Lockheed is the spares division as a "Spares Analyst". In 1959, I volunteered for the draft "to get the service over". The Army sent me to Taiwan as a crypto operator. While there, I visited Hong Kong. I had a motorcycle and traveled around the area near to Taipei.

When I returned from the army, I returned to Lockheed and was transferred to ADP, "The Skunk Works", where I worked on the SR-71& YF-12. In 1962 I married Sondra Bohan (Class of 1956). We lived in Reseda where she worked as a book keeper for Town&Country Ford. We moved back to Burbank, and I enrolled in the Dental Tech. program at UCLA. I t was a two year program, eight hours a day.

I was still at Lockheed, and worked evening coordinating with the "ranch" in Nevada. Sondra and I had a daughter, Lisa in 1966. In1967 we moved to Los Gatos where I went to work at the Los Gatos Dental Lab. In 1968 we bought our present house in Campbell.

In 1978, I bought the dental lab which I operated until July, 1999, when I retired.

I am keeping busy walking with the AVA, a world wide group. I was the president of our local club for 2 years. For most of my life, I have enjoyed building & flying model airplanes, both free flight & remote control. Sondra & I both like to travel. We discovered a company called Country Walkers and have been on many trips with them. We went to Switzerland, Scotland, England twice, Ireland, Quebec, Victoria BC and The Czech Republic. This year we are going to the Olympic Nat'l Park in Washington. I joined a health club & work out 3 days week.

Our daughter, Lisa is married, has 2 sons. Aidan 3 & Andrew 9 mo. She is a school teacher in Campbell at the grammar school she attended. Sondra is still an aide in the Campbell Union School Dist., where she works with the special education program
